Subject: 1996 Saab 900 Front Suspension Mounts



Hello all,
I've recently purchased a 1996 Saab 900 2.3S with
60,000 miles on the clock and it truly is a wonderful
vehicle.  However, I have noticed one slight problem.

Over rough road surfaces I get a loud knocking sound
from the front off-side suspension strut.  My father's
1993 Saab 900 2.0 suffered a similar problem a while
back; it turned out to be the upper suspension mount
and he had it fixed under warranty.

I have two questions :
1. Is this a common problem?
2. How easy/cheap is it to have the problem resolved?
