I am continually having wastegate seizure problems-so generally when service time crops up it's always on the agenda-this time though, when he freed off the wastegate he(the mechanic)said he'd not opened it all the way thus lower turbo performance-I'd rather have full boost so how and indeed should I open the valve fully. Further-at 80mph plus I now get vibration thru' car previously not experienced, again at service mech. informs me of egg in F/N/S tyre, however I can't find such and presumed tyre eggs were always on wall-could this cause imbalance and therefore vibration. Last,I know the older turbo's smoke-is this usual when decelerating from speed(when turbo kicks in at higher speed, say 70mph when overtaking and subsequent deceleration).I'm just a wee bit concerned with the car's overall performance as it ages and what I should really expect from a Saab built in 1985 with 155K on the meter, still handles well and beautiful condition for age. I'd really appreciate anyone's advice.Thanks-Dave. 2.0 16v 900 turbo.
