Subject: latest prices on 2001 9-5 SE wagons

I made an offer on a 2001 9-5 SE wagon, 7000 miles, automatic, loaded (including ventilated seats). Dealer in Mass. says it was a Saab exec's car and was asking 32,900, I offered 29K, showing an ad from a nearby dealer selling same cars, same miles (but loaners - "maybe" a big difference ?) for 27,900, but no ventilated seats. Dealer wouldn't take anything under 30K so I walked. I'm interested to know if anyone else has recently gotten a "good deal" on a similar Saab. [rant on] Yes, I'd prefer a wagon, and I love the ventilated seats, but it's hard to justify spending more on THIS used car than on, say, a brand new 2002 Acura TL that has more HP (but less torque) and (at least on paper) has just about everything the Saab has (minus the wagon, turbo, and ventilated seats) and is (arguably) more reliable, for around 29,500 (including destination charge). And for less than 1K, I could probably outfit the TL with a functional roof rack/carrier system, and even a utility trailer and hitch for the trips to the home warehouse stores, neutralizing some the wagon's benefit. Am I missing something here ? [rant off]
