Ihave an 1995 Aero with 225.000 Km. and no noises from any chain. The chains in any motor are calculated for life (is a design condition for any motor). Is very rare that you have problems in two chains. Some Aero„s experience problems with the counterbalance shaft, but with a lot of Km. (I friend crash with 330.000 Km.) First I will demand a report from your mechanic and with it, I will write to SAAB (Sweden) to claim the cost of this repair.
