I think it may have had something to do with the corrosion around the joints in the exhaust and there unwillingness to replace it if they broke it. Exhausts are not covered under the warranty!!! Perhaps I should take the car down to a "quick fit" exhaust centre to get them to remove the exhaust and check for blockages?
