Subject: Re: new 9-3

Well, I don't know what an Opel Vectra looks like, but, I do believe that GM based this 9-3 on the Opel's platform. Depending on the angle, I think the car looks like a Passat or an Audi. I wasn't wild on this car at first, but in this trim, I like it. As a front drive car this car will still probably not be compared favorably to the BMW's or the Audi's. Most people shopping for an entry-level luxury car in the States want rear drive or AWD, which is why so many companies, like Infiniti switched back over to that setup. Personally I drove the current 9-3 Viggen, and even though it is a front drive, that car was an extreme blast to drive, as was the 9-5 Aero that I drove. From listening to Saab it looks like they want to lose their "quirky" reputation and attempt to go more mainstream and increase sales. I can't fault them for that, but, I hope that Saab doesn't lose sight of what made people fall in love with their cars in the past. JJ >donĄt you think it looks like a Opel Vectra???. I may be dreaming, but it >reminds me a lot. >Any opinions??
