Subject: reposted question on radiator switch

Let me try this again sometimes my server is hosed up. Evening all. After reading Mr. Townsend's suggestion on radiator switches, I installed a 75 deg c radiator switch.('92 900 na conv. 65k mi.) Normal run temperature is at about 1/3 scale or approxomately 4:30. The fan now switches on at approximately 3 o'clock, and shuts off at about 4:00 or so. Car used to heat all the way up to about 1:30 or so, about 3 needle width's shy of the red divider. Are there any downsides to this setting? Other cars I have had don't usually show any deflection on the temp gauge prior to the fan starting. Is there something peculiar to Saab on this? The switches are a bit less than 3 big mac's btw. Before mixing up the red mercedes stuff up I thought I'd drop a feeler. tia dave the new guy
