Subject: Re: Saab 9-3 versus Audi A6

YOU SHOULDN'T!!! They aren't in the same class. You should but the 9-5 Aero over the A6 because of these reasons: 1) A6 has the worst initial quality in it's class segment. 2) 9-5 is as fast, if not faster than A6 3) 9-5 is roomier than A6 -- head room, shldr room, front and rear leg room, etc. 4) 9-5 has more features for the price. 5) 9-5 has better gas mileage than A6. 6) 9-5 is faster than A6. A6 has speed limiter at 130. 7) You can't match the price/performance of the 9-5. 8) A6 and 9-5 drive equally well. (Edge to the A6, if you want to pay $8K more) 9) Saab service is a whole hell of a lot better than Audi's (at least in the Bay Area) 10) Future maintenance costs are FAR less with Saab. (How do I know this? 2 buddies of mine have A6's -- V8 and the Biturbo V6 -- both have been in the shop far too much for a car that's 2 yrs old. I have had 0 problems.) Remember to compare oranges to oranges. 9-5 Aero is similar to the Biturbo or the V8 A6.... NOT the base. For me.... When I got the 9-5 Aero, it came down to how much room the 9-5 had over the A6 and that pesky arm rest in the A6 that REALLY begs to be redesigned. -ME On 5/22/02 7:25 PM, in article MPG.17560f2b5a84217a989798nopsam-server, "jim andrews" <jimandrewsnopsamintexas.com> wrote: > OK, y'all are the enthusiasts.
