I've got a 2000 9-5 Aero and don't hear this noise at all, the ventilation system is very quiet except when on highest two fan settings. But on another note, is it possible to program the system not to start up on auto every time I start the car? I think I read something about programming the climate control in the manual, but not sure if that was something one could change.
