Hello George, I did not look to see if my 94 9000 is the same as my 89 9000 was but the seat are alike, so push the head rest up and pull down the seat material just in front and below the head rest bar about a inch and a half down a torx screw goes thru the center off the head rest bar. (pull material down hard) remove the screw completely and the head rest will pull out.
