It's not as *deep* as it would need to be for a normal 9-5 wheel and tire (sorry, 'tyre'), but I would think that a steel wheel with a normal tyre on it would fit both the car and the well. > OK! I'm a bit paranoid !. Perhaps, but I don't like the stress of being on a mouse-spare and being limited, as you mention. Also, you don't want to have it on the front, as it makes the differential do *way* too much work while you're driving (think of what the spider gears are doing when you have two different size drive wheels going). I got some strange looks when I had a flat front tire, and the first thing I did was jack up the *back* of the car on the same side, to take off the full-size tire there so I could use that on the front. Sometimes, it's more fun to just let folks wonder... Dave Hinz
