Subject: 9-3 engine moving to much?

The engine of my 9-3 has some marks on top of the valve cover, indicating it has hit the hood at some stage. When accellerating quickly in the lower gears, when you get of the gas to shift gears, it feels like the engine drops down on it''s mounts. This causes an unwanted jerk during shifting. I also experience another thing which may be related: When I cold start the engine and I hadn't put it on the hand brake, the gear lever seems to be stuck in reverse and when you release the clutch nothing happens, untill you feel a large jerk and the car starts moving. At that time you can shift again fine and the clutch works fine. When I would have put the car on the hand brake this doesn't occur. I know Saab uses relatively soft engine mounts, also causing the shifter to move back and forth depending on how far you press the accellerator. But are they supposed to be this soft or may one or more of the mounts be broken? Is the second problem related? Mark
