im pretty sure its oil as it was coffee brown color and stuck in pieces. water looks more mayonese like as i remember. also the coolant didnt seem recently flushed and had no oil inside. the temp gauge stays kind of low too. so overheating would be very strange to happen. thermostat is more likely to be broken in a fashion that it stays too cold! also the stuff was like really on the TOP of the dipstick, like 1/4 of the top had this kinda marks. this is a 9000 aero MY 96 and im talking about the engine dipstick obviously ;) bye simon putz
