I don't drive like a nutter, but the only times I've had to pause for thought were in situations like (1) going into a wet roundabout a touch too fast (result - lots of understeer, car going more ahead than turning), (2) pushing hard in a low gear out of corners either spins the wheels (in the wet) or you get the torque steer where you can feel the steering wheel pulling your hands where it wants to go, and that's not necessarily where you want it to go. I might add that both these situations are avoidable (my car has glass in the sides so I can see out and therefore I can tell if the roads are wet :-) ) so the simple solution is drive according to the road conditions. And when it's dry with open smooth roads it's very very good indeed! Due to expanding fmaily, I've had to change the T16s for a 9-5 aero, and despite having ten years on the 900, I still prefer the directness of the 900's roadholding. (It's going to have to go because it's taking up space in the garage, but it will be a pity when it does go. Someone's going to get one hell of a good car for not very much money! M.
