I have a new 9-3 convertible with a curious issue about the steering. At high speeds on the freeway, the car seems to wander, to the extent that it takes constant corrections to keep it in my lane. It's kind of like driving in strong winds when it blows your car around and you have to steer against it. The constant effort makes my arms tired on long trips! I suspected a possible alignment problem and already brought it in for realignment, albeit unusual for a new car. It didn't help. Is this a characteristic of the 9-3? Could this be a body flex thing since it's a convertible? Are there any malfunctions or improper adjustments that would allow the front wheels to turn slightly without me turning the steering wheel? I love everything about the car, but this one thing drives me so crazy that I'm already anxious to dump the car at the end of the lease and never get another Saab (and I just got it, so that's really bad). I've never had this problem with any car before, and trust me, I've had some crappy cars, so this just doesn't seem right. Any advice would be appreciated.
