Subject: Re: To buy - late classic 900 or new shape?

04 Jul 2002 09:36:50 GMT, aeatartsandmedianopsamcomnohawker suggested: : I need to get another Saab. Can't decide between the classic or an early new : shape. I'm looking for a bottom of the range hatch 3d or 5d model - just the : 16v injection or equivalent, but would prefer a sunroof. My priorities are : structural strength and survivability in the case of an accident (had one not : my fault - want to survive another!) , and also minimum maintenance or as low : as possible, so good mechanicals And of course rust resistance if there was : any difference between the models in steel used or finishing. My previous Saab : turbo wasn't cheap to maintain so I'm going with a non-turbo this time. I'd be : very grateful for some good feedback - I have to make a move soon. I'm in : London, UK. thanks, Andy If you're choosing between a classic 900 or a '94 or '95, I'd probably sway towards the classic 900, because there were some issues with the first couple years of the new style 900. After '96 they improved. -- agreenbu Return to Main Index
