I should have mentioned that the lower profile (55 and less) SP 5000's use a different asymmetric thread pattern that looks more geared towards the dry and maybe rain, but not snow and I am using 205/55/15 with such thread. It does however have sipes that go diagnally across the patch surface that Dunlop claims are used for soft snow traction.
