I should have said alternatives to service parts I will list some of the parts that can be bought that are better (cheaper or out performs) than standard saab parts air filters - can buy free flowing filters that you clean out rather than replace every year cabin filters - can be bought cheaper, they still clog up with dirt and flies the same as a saab one costing £25 vacuum hoses brake discs - standard saab are expensive, but who wants a bugdet brake disc brake pads - can buy better performing pads, doubt many people want cheap brake pads suspension arm bushes - can buy alternative brands cheaper or polyurethane that out performs saab bushes shock absorbers - standard suspension is expensive to replace , costing as much as better performing sports suspension suspension springs - saab springs cost more than sports springs clutches - a clutch is a clutch no need for saab one to cost any more, but garages charge more to fit it anyway exhausts - you can buy cheap ones or better flowing performance that still costs less than a saab system (eg. JT 3") upper engine mountings - you can but polyurethane that are easier to fit and perform better dump valve - standard one (Bosch) known to rip and leak boost pressure thinking about it there are a lot more parts that you have to buy from saab than alternatives but try www.eurocarparts.co.uk , www.elkparts.com , www.neobrothers.co.uk , www.abbottracing.com , www.trentsaab.co.uk www.sasab.com and others for parts to compare prices with saab, eg. saab o2 sensor £170, standard universal o2 sensor £45. and bulletin boards eg. http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/9000/ for advice and tips "moonunit" <moonunit001nopsamo.com> wrote in message news:e9ftkuo04oi8dnvs1k02uejfo8mnl80gasnopsamcom... > Ok, > You've got my attention.
