Subject: Re: Should I buy a 9-5 arc sedan?

The new 2003 9-3 will have it. My local dealership expects the first 9-3s to arrive in October. I don't know however if the nav will be available in that trim level yet. The Aeroish "Vector" will have all the goodies I'm sure, but won't be available until a bit later. This one does peeve me a bit. All the new Saabs have onboard GPS systems for use with Onstar, and I'm not sure why they don't just offer the interface in the cabin. I have a GPS that I use with my Pocket PC. It keeps me going the right direction. As far as the purchase of an Arc.... Why not just go to the Aero sedan? They start out at the same base price and the Aero is a much more competent vehicle. Personally, as a die hard Saab fan (29 yrs old and on my 9th Saab), I'd stay away from the GM based V6 (Arc engine). This is simply my opinion and some really like the V6's more even (didn't want to use "linear") power band. I just have more faith in the proven Saab turbo 4s. Not to mention the Aero is a real kick in the pants.
