Imagine my reaction: Parked the 9000 at my friends garage - all was well. 2 mins. later I was asked to move it to let someone out. The brake pedal went to the floor and I only just stopped. Fortunately being outside a garage help was at hand. No fluid loss could be found and the master cylinder was suspect. Lifting the carpet in the passenger footwell we found a pin had fallen out of the mechanism operating the master cylinder 'pin'. A simple and cheap repair when I was expecting a costly 'do'! The circlip that should have held the pin in place could not be found so I may have been driving a potentially fatal motor for the 2 years I have owned this vehicle. Maybe this will help someone who suffers a similar problem. Dave A owned 9000 2.0 SE T 9000 S 2.3 900 GLi 900i x 2 90
