First of all you should realize SAAB is very unique in many ways . It needs to be taken care of so it cantake care of you , my only recommendation is to purchase good and reliable extended warranty bumper to bumper with not so high deductable - if you plan to purchase a manual shift, test drive it and make sure it engages to 5th gear without any problem ( any sign of hard shifting is indicative of either a linkage probplem --2000 and up repair or worn out gears --same cost --but coverd under warranty no charge ) during the testdrive pay special attention to how car behaves at curves ( if you feel some vibration this is indicative of bad rim or tire ( rim might be sligtly bent) for cars coming of the lease this problem is very wide spread as somedo not care if they jump the curve or not . - also it may requirw wheel alignment ( for saab this is not cheap) "alanna" <alanna.proulxnopsamwcglobal.com> wrote in message news:a7e2538b.0208041641.4c4ee96nopsaming.google.com... > Looking to buy my first Saab 9-3 (non convertable).
