OK (at the risk of sounding too much like a marketing presentation), here goes... It's a 1990 model year, 900 turbo 16valve S. It's completely standard, (no Abbott or similar mods of any sort), 136000 miles, and I've all the bills back to 1994, which include new steering rack, clutch, all four brake discs, head gasket (ouch - that hurt the wallet at the time), timing chain, four new tyres (in Feb at the 130k service). It's been serviced for the last five years by the Saab specialist in Liverpool, and I would happily drive it for another 70000 miles or so other than the fact that new family means that a 5 door car is required It hasn't had the turbo changed, but I'm told (by the garage) that it's OK at the moment. It doesn't smoke or anything like that - oil changes every 6000 miles must have helped I suppose. I have found the downsides from a buyers point of view are that it is white and only two doors (ie not the 3dr hatchback), and I suspect these together are probably what is holding everyone back(!). That and the fact that it will only appeal to the enthusiasts like myself. Whatever, I think the person who finally gets it will get a lot of car for not very much money. MB.
