My 88 900 has rust thru the door bottoms on the inside, from faulty drainage, this past year starting to show on the outside bottom of the doors, and a foot-long hole thru the floorboard next to my gas pedal foot, from moisture pooling under the carpeting. The trunk didn't rust, but the drain hole was always plugging up under the spare tire and leaving a gallon or so of water to slosh around down there, from rain or condensation, I don't know. If you are a fanatical detailer, with time to give your car a weekly concours-quality workover, or live where they don't use salt on winter roads, you might not need to worry. Catching the moisture before it can do damage is the key, for Saabs or any make of car.
