It's the logic of the marketplace, which reflects people's assessment of the value of the car, and its running cost. On the positive side, the rapid rate of depreciation of Saabs means that you can buy a relatively new car, one that was expensive when new, fairly cheaply. Having owned a 1996 900SE for about two years now, I'm inclined to think that, as usual, the marketplace has assessed the car about right.
