NO! The engine is an american engine, which is COMPLETELY changed by the Saab engineers! Only leftover is the block and the head itself. :: Same for the platform. They are losely based on the Opel Vectra, but :: also heavily modified by Saab. NOT based on the Vectra platform! The Epsilon-platform is a GM-development, co-designed by GM, Saab and Opel/Vauxhall to meet each their individual requirements! Cheers!
