If you're going as far as Southampton, then you could do a lot worse 
than SS Motors (Steve). Very nice guy, and pretty knowledgeable.

Nearer where you are, how about NeoBrothers (www.neobros.co.uk)? I've 
only ever used them for parts, and they've been fine on that front.
