Subject: Re: Engine(Motor) Oil For 1996 SAAB9000 AERO?

The only value I can see in going with a synthetic is longer than usual (3000 miles) between oil changes and low temp. viscosity. Since most would recommend a 3000 mile oil change I would think the cost of a synthetic prohibitive. I tend to stick with standards like Castrol 10W- 30 and change every 3000 miles. I believe it is better for your engine in the long run. Use common sense in winter , "baby" the car when cold and have a good battery.
