Subject: What do Saab aircraft have to do with it?

What aircraft engineering? Saab cars and Saab aircraft are completely two different divisions today. Do you really believe that aircraft engineers are working on cars? A long time ago that may have been the case but not today. Think back to when a Saab car had the old airplane logo on it. I think it was last in the 1960's. I may be wrong on this, but I would like to hear from someone at the Saab plant who is an engineer. The aircraft connection is pretty mythical today. Pretty much advertising only. One could say GM is also an "aircraft company". Didn't they produce aircraft engines during WWII? I have owned various Saab cars since 1964 (14 of them) from a 1963 two-stroke 96 to a 1998 900. That's not much expertise, I know, but then again who are the experts here?
