There's been NO lowering of the body and cage structure in any way! In fact, Saab has continiously strenghtened the safety in their cars, based on the 50 years of safety developments (read the book about the 9-5 and you'll know that the 9-5 is way ahead of even the 9000!). About the bumpers. Yes, today they're integrated with the front, but underneath, they're still build the EXACT same way as they used to be. They've just removed the rubbercover! ;o) Cheers!
