hi Dave, I drive a company (lease) car, jan 2001 9/3 diesel. Apart from a little excessive engine oil consumption during breaking-in (1 liter in 5000 km is a bit much), i had no problem whatsoever. Car is now at about 56k km and still running very smooth. There seem to be some folk out there who complain about excessive engine oil consuption. If you search by a few keywords in this group, you will probably find some postings. However, mine runs great and is very responsive. Diesels of about two years old will have the 115 bhp engine. As of sept 2000 (MY 2001) they started to sell the 125 bhp diesels. I would go for that one, if i were you. hope this helps!
