I believe you have the same type of system that is on my 1991 9000. It is turned on and off by locking or unlocking the drivers door with the key. Is the LED flashing all the time? If so, the alarm is in "Transit Mode" which means it is disabled to allow for transport from the factory to the dealer. This is the mode it is in when the battery is installed (or replaced). To put the alarm in normal mode, turn the key to the unlock position 3 times within 2 seconds. You can find out more about the alarm systems on Saabs at the Townsend Imports web site: http://216.78.172.244/alarm_folder/alarm_adj_docs.htm Walt Kienzle "Chris" <chrispolnopsamotron.ca> wrote in message news:v99h9.7016$Gp1.213916nopsamr.videotron.net... > What does the factory alarm on the saab 9000cs 92 do? i have a flashing led > on the dash, but i never got a clicker or anything with the car? > > Thanks > > >
