Have a look around under the hood Chris, (on the right hand side as you stand looking at the engine) look for a sounder on the right hand wheel-arch, its a "disc" shaped black unit about the size of a 50p, if its there then *somewhere* in there is an alarm unit that is set by the key and doesn't need a seperate "plip" to activate. You can also try this........ Open the drivers window. Exit the car and lock it with the window open. (if the car automatically shuts the window, then there is an alarm fitted that has a "full closure" feature) after waiting about 3 mins, reach into the car and use the interior drivers release to open the drivers door. If the alarm goes off, there's your answer, if not...... Now try and start the car If it wont start you've got an immobiliser, not an alarm ;) To reset and get the car going again if an immobiliser activates, switch on the Ignition, close all the windows, exit the car, lock the car as per normal, wait 3 mins, open the car as normal and start up. Hope that helps Davey Chris wrote: > What does the factory alarm on the saab 9000cs 92 do? i have a flashing led > on the dash, but i never got a clicker or anything with the car? > > Thanks > > >
