At least in theory it isn't. Your state of tuning is just a bunch of numbers in a chip. If you program two sets of numbers and tell the CPU to look at a different memory location if a switch as been flipped you're basically there. I can say for certain it exists for the diesel: http://www.wetterauer.nl/specificaties/saab/Saab9322TiD.html (in dutch). For the petrol engines I am not sure; I haven't tried finding one yet. > AFAIK, LPG mode runs hotter and is therefore not very > suitable for tuning. It is indeed a fact that LPG runs hotter, but I have good hopes the use of liquid LPG injection instead of an evaporator, will increase suitability. The liquid LPG injected directly into the intake manifold evaporates there lowering the temperature of the mixture in the intake manifold. Also something like sodium-core exhaust valves could help (if it doesn't have that already), because the most common problem is burnt exhaust valves. Even if might not be possible to reach the 210+ hp some tuners claim while on petrol, 180 hp to 190 hp should be possible. If only because I have already seen a 2.0T (185hp) on LPG offered in a garage. Not a word about it's reliability though. -- Mager
