The front and rear edges of the cover are held in place with steel clips, underneath the seat. I imagine it is not lot different in newer SAABs As new as 1988, it was pretty much the same, hog-rings holding the fabric to the seat frames. Look for zippers near the back, as well. It must have been manufactured, and is very unlikely that the sewing machine worked while the fabric/leather was on the seat, so it must come off the same way it went on. Dave Hinz
