WOW.... That's a first. My family owns a Saturn, a Saab, a Jaguar, a Mercedes, and a Cadillac. We have to deal with all the different dealers and their different quirks. I think the first thing to note is that Saabs on the West Coast (I'm in Silicon Valley) are not as prevalent as they are on the East/New England area, and even Colorado (Aspen police cars are 9-5's after all). The experience I've had at Burlingame SAAB has been incredible -- even rivaling that of Cadillac and even Saturn in some areas. The service center at Saab know me and seem to really care. I remember dropping off my car at the dealership one extremely hot day. There was a line, and everyone was standing around in 100+ heat. A Saab rep came out and directed us indoors where it was far cooler and they called us out one by one when it was time for our cars to be processed. It's little things like that that make me happy. Cadillacs and Saturn service are pretty much the same. Saturns have a nice plush waiting area with a TV, free donuts and coffee in the morning for those waiting for the car. Jaguar dealers are nice, but their service centers in the Bay Area leave a LOT to be desired. I always got the feeling that they really don't care. Drop off your car, wait here, and we'll get right to you. Mercedes is the same way. They don't even wash the car once they're done with it. Even simple fixes with my Saab -- like fixing a burned out headlamp, they always ask if I want my car washed!!! I think you've got a "questionable" dealer in the LA area. Because up here in the Bay Area, they're awesome!!!
