Well, I got 60K, and two of the tyres still had a fair bit left - not down to the wear marks - although I changed the full set. However, I always keep mine at 40psi, which is what I was told was best all-round for the 9-5 by my first Saab dealer - Rick Damilian. Wearing on the outside edges is one indication of low inflation, so a few extra psi might help. Slight over inflation is better than slight under inflation too. Of course driving patterns and conditions can play a big part as well: an on-off accelerator and heavy boots on the brake with weaving-in-and-out stop-go city traffic can play havoc with the tyre mileage achieved as well as the fuel consumption! >I suspect some places are better than others for alignment. Any one that can do the full computer controlled 4 wheel alignment should be OK - it's pretty hard to stuff it up, but my Saab dealer (Northshore Saab at Brookvale) always go to the one right alongside them on Pittwater Rd - damned if I can remember the name - I think it is Bob Jane, but that's probably for convenience more than anything else. Most Goodyear shops can do it too. > Good luck. -- Regards, Peter Wilkins
