You're probably wasting your time pursuing this through the new/old dealer. Go after Saab on this one. After all, their original recommendation on new 95 900 SE's was to replace the belt at 90K. As a result, they've replaced and awful lot of engines--thereby setting a precedent and an implied contract. Also, it doesn't pay to be nasty. Write a polite but forceful letter to Saab explaining the above. Forget what the dealer said/did. It has no bearing. The point is that Saab screwed up on this from the beginning and will--though it may take a second letter from an attorney--ultimately pony up to replace your engine. As for the finger wagging from other posts, you'll soon be driving a 95 900 SE with a new engine. Enjoy.
