You might find this an interesting site: http://216.78.172.244/transmission_folder/clutch_job_900_till_93.htm Also, there may be a small opening or "window" (about 1/2 inch x 1 inch) at the clutch plate end of the engine block, about the eleven o'clock position?, through which you can check the clutch wear... (there is on my '92 900). Clutch slip seems to be the major problem, as the experts have agreed (I'm no expert) - when my clutch was replaced, the slave cylinder in the clutch assembly was NFG and needed replacement also, possibly contributed to early clutch wear-out. Worth checking when apart.
