Subject: Installing CD changer 97 900S

I recently installed a SAAB CD changer in my 1997 900S, It was originally in a 1994 900SE. No problem with the install, turned on the radio and the CD player worked great, until that is, I started the car. Once I started the car the head unit did not recognize the cd changer. the only way I could get it recognized again was to disconnect the battery and reenter the security code. As soon as I start the car its like the CD Changer is not there. The only way to get it to work is if I disconnect the battery, then reconnect it, turn on the radio and CD player before starting the car, then start the car. If I leave the cd player playing when I shut the car it works when I turn it back on, as soon as I turn off the car with the CD player turned off it will not work unless I disconnect the battery again. Anyone have any idea whats going on here ?
