It is completely differnt from either the 94 9k cs NA I have or the 900S I used to own. There seems to be unlimited power on demand, to me anyway, available. All my SAAB's are stick shift. > I am really pleased with the car in general and so far only a few small > irritations: the climate control unit squeaks in the dash as the car > flexes about and the clutch pedal sometimes squeaks when depressed. The car has the 225 bhp Aero > engine but not the suspension settings. > The squeak of the ACC sensor is quite simple if I am reading you right. It is common to all 9k with ACC. You need to clean the sensor motor itself. It is most likely filled with lint on the shaft of the small electric motoor. Remove the cup holder with the radio removal tool. Stick your fingers inside to push the sensor out. Disconnect the motor from its electrical wiring and then clean it. Lubricate the shaft with silicone grease. The noise will disappear. As for handling I feel the same way you do when I first switched from the classic 900 to 9k. I don't know how best to describe it. It is as if the feel between steering and the road is more intimate. But I soon got used to it. If you want me to go back to the classic 900, I'd say no now. They are a generation apart. The 900 is clunkier. The 9k is for sure more refined and much quieter. But both are fun to drive. I am sure you switched to the 9k for similar reasons I did. You liked the 900 so much and expect the 9k would be even better. They are.
