17 MPG!??! in a 2.0LT(t) something is wrong. It could be as simple as an air filter. Both mine get 25 in town and 30 on the road. one is a 2.0T (1992 C900) and the other is a 2.3T (1995 9k). 17 sounds more like a v6 than a L4T. The longer it goes like this, the higher the chance of engine damage, though. Did you verify this value by measuring consumption for 2 fills? Reliance on the SID is not suggested as it CAN be wrong.
