I haven't found an intercooler on in my 1993 9000 CSE 2.0 LPT, but then I haven't looked very carefully since I didn't know where to look. That engine is an 'S' engine, the Haynes manual doesn't list intercooler for that model, although it is listed for the 'E' engine, that's the 2.3 LPT.
