My 1987 900S will idle erratically when you first start it up; from about 500rpm to 2500rpm, sometimes it will stall. Once it warms up or you drive it a short distance (like 30 feet) it will idle normally. At this point you can turn the car off and then turn it back on and it's fine. Also, when I first start driving the car it will shake for a little bit; this is worse if I'm accelerating. The last car I had that did this would shake all the time because the engine mounts were shot, but this is where it gets weird- the vibration will go away and then the car runs like it's new. So I just drive around the neighborhood a couple times until it stops shaking. It's not the tires.
