Lo Mate, I had this problem about 4 months ago with my SAAB 9-5. Cut a long story short.....car was just out of warranty and having read (via this NG) that a few SAAB owners had similiar problems I approached SAAB GB and advised them of my displeasure stating that electrical components should not fail so frequently especially as the car/part was only 3+ years old. SAAB kind of argeed and offered to pay half of the cost of the replacement part. My local dealer fitted it for free (5 minute job). Replacement part was in the region of £185. Did my homework prior to all of this and couldn't find any info on whether the ACC Display Unit could be repaired. I'm sure that my faulty part was removed and ended up on a repair bench somewhere! I now find that the pixels on the SID are now playing up with bits missing here and there. Time to call SAAB GB! Good luck - have a go at SAAB (nicely).
