Hold on . . . /checks his Datasheet/ Well, it lists three - the 1999, 2001 and 2002 models. The 1999 is quoted at being 8.0 seconds, and the other two at 7.5. Traction is going to be your biggest problem: you'd only get these figures if you get a perfect launch. With that much power, and front wheel drive, it's not entirely easy. Of more relevance is the "in-gear" poke, but I don't have any data for that. However, Datasheet attempts to calculate a performance figure, where higher is better, using a combination of power and torque to weight ratios, published figures, etc. etc. etc. The 9-3 2.0T(185) manages a DervMan Performance Score of 44.7 (1999) down to 43.7 (2002). To put that into perspective, competitors with a similar performance score include the Skoda Octavia R (the 180 PS version), the 2.4 turbo Volvo S60, the V6 versions of the Laguna or Peugeot 406, or the 2.5 / 2.9 litre BMW sixes. But I don't know if you're in the UK (all relevant) or wherever (not all will be relevant). -- The DervMan www.dervman.com
