However, the tax only applies to cars actually registered on Danish plates, not for exporting a car registered on special temporary export plates. These export plates are only valid in Denmark for 24 hours, unless you're a Dane in the process of moving to another country e.g. for a longer period of time, e.g. for a job assignment. Then they might give you 3 weeks. But if you miss the deadline, then they'll send you the tax bill... Johannes
