That's the same thing they told me when my third-gear cluster blew into chunks in my 900, at about 80,000 miles and *way* out of warranty. I wonder what gets into these guys, that they think they can just go fixing things and not charging, just because it shouldn't have broken. Contrast: my wife's Dodge minivan; tranny took a dump 3000 out of warranty, and Chrysler's official response was "Well, that's just too bad. You should have bought the extended warranty." Dave Hinz
