This might actually go along with what Dave Hinz suggested. His problem was a worn switch, but the switch moving could have been pulling/rubbing against a wire in your case, and worn through it so it earths when pulled into a certain position. hope this is of some use. just general auto electric theory though, not based on any Saab knowledge. -- Carl Robson http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
