I have a 9000CD 1992 Auto that is starting to slip on the change from 3rd to 4th. It only does it when under very light load, not up hills, etc. As it reaches about 60kph in 3rd, engine revs are about 2200. During the change to 4th, the revs rise to 2500 for about 1 sec before dropping again. The 4th gear does not engage violently - it is quite gentle. Fluid level is OK, but I don't have other history, as I have only had the car 6 months. Possible diagnosis, cure? Is this likely to be a brake adjustment in the transmission, or something worse? Thanks, Marc
