Is the Maxima V6/manual transmissions readily available for a test drive or just "listed as being available" with a manual, just like the Volvo? Volvo states on the web and in the catalogs that the S60 and V70 are "available" with a manual transmission, but are all but impossible to find on a dealer lot for a test drive. I wrote to Volvo and they replied that there was "no demand" for cars with manual transmission in the US. At one point you could get a Camry with a V6 and a manual transmission, but not now. I will check out the Nissan web site and try to find a Nissan dealer with a Maxima with a manual. Thanks for the information!
